Simple Wintry Pine Cone Centerpiece

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!  The year isn’t even over yet, but I got a little anxious and wanted a bit of new fresh decor up. I didn’t take down any major Christmas decor yet, the tree is still up, but I changed things up here and there for the new season. Don’t judge, I am enjoying this time with my family, but I also felt like decorating around, now that I have some time off. So this simple wintry pine cone centerpiece happened really quick, because the greens on my Christmas centerpiece were all dry and I felt like having something wintry yet cozy on our coffee table.

Simple Wintry Pine Cone Centerpiece

What you need:

pine cones

white acrylic paint & paint brush

wooden tray ( I painted my tray white as well)

fairy lights

I bought my tray a while back and had painted it white. It is such a fun piece of decor to have because it is so very versatile and I use it all the time.

The other day I posted winter decor inspiration and really wanted to paint my pine cones white after that. They just look beautiful and so pretty with white little tips all over. When they were all dried up I just arranged them with the fairy lights on the tray. I started with the fairy lights and then just placed the pine cones in between until I liked the look.

Well, I hope you got a little bit of inspiration for your own winter decor here. I mean, pine cones are nothing new, they are kind of perfect for winter and just look beautiful, don’t you think? And fairy lights just add the right cozy touch to it all and you can never go wrong with adding a little twinkle to your decor by using them.

I just love pine cone, you decorated them in a best way. Here, in India pine cone is not easily available. I really want it badly from my childhood. I wish I can find them one day.

Simply lovely. I love pine cones too. I’m surely not looking forewards to having our black pine (Schwarzkiefer) put down in 2018 (we have to though, the roots are heaving the pavement right next to the garage – who knows what it looks like onderneath the garage itself!?) cause I loved collecting the cones which fell down all through the year (though it wasn’t nice to catch one on the head while working in the garden).
Do enjoy these very few last days of 2017! See you next year!

Thanks Marjan! Pine cones are the Best! But it is no fun when the Schwarzkieferroots want to destroy your home… Luckily the pine cones will last for years and you can enjoy them even without the tree, have a wonderful 2018!!!

Love it! Your Pine Cones just say winter and add a lovely natural element to your tray. The little fairy lights give a wee bit of sparkle that adds warmth. This is a beautiful addition for any decor that will look perfect for the next two months of winter. I always count on your kreative nature for inspiration. Thank-you!

Thank you my friend! It doesn’t mean the house can’t be cozy and filled with lovely lights just because Christmas is over, right? Enjoy the winter, I know where you’re at it’s so cold right now, hope you’re staying warm and safe! Hugs!
