32 In Spring

Simple Spring Vignette with Ranunculus

I’m head over heels in love! I have to admit, I fall in love often…. This time, it happened on my trip to Ikea last Friday and ever since, I feel all happy inside when I think about it and just can’t stop staring….if that isn’t love! Talking about my Simple Spring Vignette with Ranunculus if you were wondering!

Not sure if it has to do with Valentine’s Day, but when I walked by the artificial flower section at Ikea my heart skipped a beat when these beautiful ranunculus begged me to take them home with me and miraculously ended up in my yellow Ikea shopping bag.

This week the weather has been quite warm and it really felt like spring already, even though we’re only at the beginning of February. And the lovely ranunculus bring in such a nice and fresh spring vibe! I even picked pink ones, you guys, what do you say? Ok , I also bought some white ones, but you’ll see them in another post.

I used the jars from my last winter vignette you can see here. And you might remember the DIY wood slice decor in the back from the other day. Well, I exchanged the printable on the clipboard, you can find it in my Etsy store. I think it’s great for the upcoming season, spring is inspiring, a new beginning kind of, everything starts growing and becoming alive after winter, maybe… I thought it would go, maybe you’ll like a different one, that’s alright! The little coasters are from the Euro section in one of the supermarkets here where I live and I love them for under the jars!

I just cut apart the ranunculus as it comes as one.

These are so simple, but so pretty! I was surprised to see the pink flowers, but I love the way they look. So fresh and springy. The way you put together a display is a talent and I am envious. I add too much stuff and then it gets crowded ugly looking. I have learned so much from you, simple is so pretty and I am using these techniques to make our decor less busy and more calming. Thanks.

Ranunculus is one of my favorite flowers! I was reorganizing my artificial flowers for the hundredth time and came across several bunches of them. They always seems to get shoved to the back of the closet and I tend to forget about them. I love the color of these and how delicately you’ve displayed them. Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story, have a great weekend.

They look pretty Katrin, I can even feel Spring looking at your vignette. How is it that you find so many cool things on Ikea while I only see ordinary ones?? I think I need a trip to see you and you can teach me how to look Ikea with different eyes

Oh Katrin that’s so pretty. It’s almost a dusky pink if you look at the flowers and it fits perfectly with all your other decor. I’m so happy you’re in love with beautiful Ranunculus, we call them Lente rosies in S Africa. Have you tried growing them? Now is the perfect time to plant them and they will give you many happy flowers for your gorgeous home when Spring arrives. It’s one of the first flowers we look out for when Spring comes and they come in the most glorious colors. Okay I’m rambling , sorry 😉 Wishing you a very happy week.

Oh no, you’re not rambling! Thank you so much Michelle! I’ve never tried growing them and I don’t know where I’d do that, but I’d love to! Maybe in pots??? So the bunnies won’t be able to get to them… not sure but I’d love to have real ones!

Katrin that is such a sweet color and it looks lovely against the neutral colors of your home. I can’t blame you for wanting to bring them home with you. They would put a smile on anyone’s face in anticipation of Spring.
