Simple Photo Wall Display

Did you realize that many of my posts start with “simple”? Because they are really simple, just like this one. This weekend I got so much done, which makes me so happy. Between the garden and setting up the outdoor space and also decorating the house for summer [we did get a nice 25 degrees C these days] my long weekend was a busy one! And still not done! I have another long weekend coming up, crazy hey? Three long ones in a row, ha! Can’t complain. Anyways, today I’m sharing this simple photo wall display that was one of the little projects on my list this weekend.

I bought two extendable wooden garden trellis at our local garden center here for 3.99€ each. I was hoping to find something a bit lighter colored, but hey, I just grabbed my white spray paint and they got a touch of white, not completely, just a little bit. When I look at it now, I am loving it, but I wish I had given them another coat of paint before gluing on the clips. I might do it in the future, but for now it’ll stay like this.

This is the before spray paint version. They can be stretched up to 180cm which is more than enough, although the wall going up our staircase is a big one, that’s why I got two of them.

These are the metal clips I simply hot glued all over the trellis and then clipped on the photos.

My now 13 year old [when did that happen?] on her first day of JK. She was more than ready to go and had picked out her outfit, backpack and stick-on-earrings! She even took her umbrella in case of rain… [it doesn’t usually rain here in September…] but hey, she wanted to be all ready. I love remembering that day and how proud she was to go off.  I think that smile says it all! She still loves school today and is such a responsible sweet girl.

And this is my now 9 year old cheeky monkey about three years ago…She used to love wearing summer dresses and is a mama’s girl, won’t go a day without cuddling and is so funny and can be so silly. This smile also says it all and she’s wearing it daily!!

And that’s today’s simple post about my simple photo wall display! I just love having photos of my family visible. They bring back sweet memories from when my girls were smaller and make me smile every time I walk up the stairs. I’m such a lucky Mama and can’t wait to add more photos for more memories…

It was Mother’s Day here in Spain this past weekend, so I wish all Mama’s out there a Happy Mother’s Day next Sunday!

Katrin, do you know I paid BIG bucks for something similar. Using an extended wooden garden trellis is a brilliant idea and I’m kicking myself for not having thought of it. Wishing you a beautiful Mother’s Day!

Oh no, really? I was surprised when I saw the price tag and thought it would make a nice wall filler, haha. Have a good weekend Marie & Thank you 🙂

Oh my Katrin that is brilliant. The bamboo is light and airy and serves as the perfect backdrop for your family photos. Happy Mother’s Day to you too!

Yes, I like the bamboo, but would like it a little lighter though. But it does add a lovely beachy vibe to the wall.
