Simple nordic Christmas entrance & kitchen

I hope you’re not getting bored with my home tours these past days… if so, then you might want to stop reading….cause here comes another one! Today I am showing you my simple nordic Christmas entrance & kitchen!

[Please note, that this post contains affiliate links, for more info please also read my disclosure. By purchasing through my blog, I receive a small comission, the price however remains the same for you!]

My entrance is really small but I still love to decorate it a little bit each season, same goes for my kitchen… we spend quite some time in there and I love that big chalkboard and have fun changing it up each time. My decor is simple and easy this year and I only got a few new items here and there…all the other details are either greenery or decor from last year, painted or styled differently.

Simple nordic Christmas entrance & kitchen

quick-last-minute-nordic-christmas-entrance-and-kitchen-kreativk.netI made this wreath really quickly the other day, it was really a last minute DIY, because I had completely forgotten about the front door!! It’s my grapevine wreath that I had up for fall as well, but now changed it up for Christmas, adding pine branches and pine cones that I sprayed with fake snow. The wooden letters were painted white and the stamps on them are the same I used for my DIY garland the other day.

I showed you the re-repurposed christmas card display not too long ago and I only added a few simple details to the rest of the entrance to have it still pretty airy and not too cramped.

This is the Merry & Bright Printable from the other day…

and now off into the kitchen…

I have the same place mats I also use for my dining room table, I really like how they look with the coloured chairs! I really wanted to paint these, but my hubby won’t let me! And I don’t blame him, it’s the only real pop of colour in the house..and he likes colours and already puts up with my all nordic style, so I let him have these 😉

…more greenery and tins and jars to keep all the goodies! Except for the winter wonderland jars….those are just to look at! But cookie baking is high on the list, we’ll be baking some as soon as we’re done with school for the holidays…which is in like a week, wow!

I put some pine branches in a jar and wrapped washi tape around it…

Last spring I created a little herb garden in a crate to my window in the kitchen… the herbs are no longer here, but I’ve added pine branches and two fake poinsettias to it.

The window is closed here and the silver stars are window stickers I added…

If you like it, pin it!

As you can see, with a few little details you can add Christmas feel to any space!! Wishing you a lovely day, Thank you for the visit today!

With all the white in your home it should feel cold and sterile. But it doesn’t. You have such a unique talent of making this Nordic Decor not only clean looking, but warm and comforting as well. I am amazed by this. All the rustic wood and greenery bring life into the home, and the baskets and throws and pillows make me want to snuggle in for the long winter. Love seeing your decor posts and how you put things together, reusing one print or stamp or element to tie things all together. I learn a lot from your home and your talents!

I so enjoy your beautiful Nordic style, Katrin. I “borrowed” your card holder idea and taped all of mine to the French door I have hanging in our Kitchen hallway. I love it! Thanks for linking up your posts with Vintage Charm, and Merry Christmas!

Hi Katrin: I adore your style. Everything is clean, crisp and festive. I love the white and all the naturals you used. Where did you get the little deer cushion? He is so whimsical and pretty.

Katrin, you are the Queen of kreativity!! You have constantly amazed me with all of the Simple Nordic Christmas decor. The entrance and kitchen are so beautiful. I love all of the little touches that come together to kreate such a lovely room. The wreath on the door is perfect with the stamped letters. Thank-you for a fantastic post, as always!

Katrin your home is like a winter wonderland. I’ve probably told you this before but it really is that beautiful. I love this look. It reminds me of that scene in Doctor Zivago when they go to an old house in the country and it is frozen all around. So, so beautiful. Each corner of your home has something special to look at. Now about your poor husband. Send him over here so he can stay in my house and I’ll come over there. Although I have to confess your beautiful style has been rubbing off on me. 😉

Thank you very much Mary, I really love hearing that you like it, and yes, poor hubby needs colour in his life, but hey, I’ll put on a red sweater for him anytime!! 😉

    Dear Katrin,
thank you for yet another tour of your home (I’ll never show you ours though – at least not till I’ve managed to declutter it somehow, and this will probably never happen). Your house looks so peaceful and calm and the Christmas decorations fit in perfectly.
Enjoy every single moment in that lovely home!
