20 In Int'l Bloggers Club Challenge/ Spring

Simple & Fresh Spring Leaf Frame [Int’l Bloggers Club]

While you’re reading this, I’m visiting my brothers in Germany over a long weekend! So exciting! But I’m also excited that it’s another edition of our Int’l Bloggers Club today, so let me tell ya, our theme for this months Challenge is Spring/Fall. Fall, because Michelle lives in South Africa and it’s almost Fall for her! How fun, we get inspiration for Spring AND Fall! So I’m showing you my simple & fresh Spring leaf frame today!

Last month we talked about our Valentine’s Day in each of our neck of the woods, well and this month it’s all about Spring! It really is very close and where I live, in the South of Spain, it is very Spring-like already! We do still get some showers and the evenings and nights are cold, but during the day the temps easily climb up to 20 degrees already, which is so lovely! So who is ready for Spring and some Spring decor??

Simple & Fresh Spring Leaf Frame

My life has changed quite a bit in the last half year… in good ways! I am out of the house all day, although I don’t always enjoy that, cause I love being at home, but hey, there are worst things. I have a job and I do what I love! You might have noticed how that has influencd blog life! I have little time for projects or decorating, so my ideas are even more simple than they were before already…. gotta go with the flow… it is what it is, right? So here’s another simple idea:

It all started with the beautiful DIY Botanical Wall Art from The Cofran Home. I saw these not too long ago and wanted to make something similar ever since! And then I found this empty frame without the back part and some artificial giant green leaves at Ikea… [I couldn’t stay out of the artificial flower section after finding my ranunculus]

I cut the leaves shorter and glued them onto the glass [I used a normal glue stick]… I put some heavier items on top of them so they’d stay put.

And there ya go! You can’t see the glue at all and it looks great I think! So fresh and so simple, a cute little Spring decor, don’t you think?

Hi Katrin: This little project is super fresh and cute, it goes so well with your decor. Over the winter months I really start to miss the colour green, this is a perfect fun way to bring some colour back into the house for spring.

    Hello Katrin,
I wouldn’t have though of glue if you hadn’t mentioned it. I though of a second glass as well. Looks great!
Hope you had a wonderful time in Germany!

I can’t believe how creative, yet so simple, this leaf frame is Katrin! I am so in love with this project. I never would have come up with this idea – I love that it’s oversized and yet integrates so well in the space. Feeling inspired to do something similar in my home this spring 🙂

Katrin this is so simple it is not even funny. I saw it and thought there must be two pieces of glass to hold it together and on and on. I can’t believe you used a glue stick! And here you are telling me how simple it is. And such a statement piece. Simple, fresh and it really stands out and looks perfect in your home. I hope you have a great time in Germany!!
