32 In Summer

Painted Pebbles

Happy Happy Wednesday! My kids are finally done with school, until mid September, isn’t that crazy!? Lovely~crazy! I told them the other day that they will be doing a summer camp at one point during this summer and of course they weren’t happy at all. Summers here can be really long, and while we have a pool and go to the beach and meet with friends and I do lots of crafts with them, it’s still not enough to keep them from fighting and bothering each other, so I figure that having them do something out of the house, without being together all the time, will be a good thing. Plus, I don’t think we’ll do any travelling this summer either. Anyways, why I’m mentioning all this is because todays post could be a fun summer craft for kids too! Painted Pebbles!

Painted Pebbles/kreativk.netI’m sure you’ll find pebbles at the park, in your garden maybe or at the lake or beach if you go to one, and if not at the Dollar Store for sure! Next, you need a marker, in my case, I used a black tiny one, but you could use colours as well if you wanted to do this with your kids. And that’s about it!

Then I just doodled around, these flower designs are so easy to make!

I  put them on my white platter and they look awesome, but I could imagine them in flower pots or outside on a shelf as well!

These are so cute! You have an artists hand for sure. I’m sure the kids would love trying their hand at this. We picked up several rocks (as we always do) on our vacation and now I know what we can do with them. Thanks so much for sharing each week with us at Brag About It. I always look forward to seeing your sweet projects! Pinned to share.

Your painted stones look just fabulous, Katrin! I love the colors and the elegance of your designs. Paining rocks is something I have on my to-do-list for quite some time but I’ve always put it on the back burner. Looking at yours make me wanna go down the hill to the little brook and pick some stones up right away.

It’s such a fun and easy activity and I will definitely paint more this summer with my girls Julia! Thanks for the visit!

These are so adorable. You are the queen of doodles. Mine wouldn’t look nearly as good. But I’m game to try! LOL You could use these in so many places, they would look great here and there, or in a plant pot, as garden markers, a paper weight. Even as a lucky stone to carry in your pocket. The black marker looks so sharp on the natural multi-colored stones. Really love this!

I like the lucky stone idea, that’s a great idea for when it’s back to school time, which is still a loooong time from now, but you know… my girls would love that for the first days! I’m sure yours would turn out lovely Nikki, your pillows are so lovely, you are very talented!

It’s so much easier for me to create using a paintbrush, it is so much more forgiving than a marker. My doodles look like A 3 year olds. LOL

So funny, and for me the other way round!! I feel more comfortable with a marker 😉

How lovely these rocks look with the darling little designs drawn on them! I often pick up little rocks that call to me- just picked up one in a parking lot that had pink and black on it. I usually put them into my flower pot saucers. Thank-you for a Kreativ way to adorn them. Yet again you inspire with your artistic vision, as always!

Ellen, I’m happy that I can inspire and love it that you stop by each time! I thought putting them in flower pots or saucers is a fantastic idea and would look great! have a lovely Thursday!

Katrin I just came back from the beach and I lugged a whole bunch of rocks with me. My husband thinks I’m nuts. Haha! Great minds think alike. Very pretty designs on your pebbles. And yes it is a really great way to keep the kids busy!

Hahaha, you crack me up! Mine thinks the same about me, everytime we’re at the beach I’m like: okay lets go look for nice flat and even round rocks please! and if you find some driftwood that’s even better, lol!
