Nordic Style wood slice Christmas ornaments

The other day my friend Keri from Repurposing Junkie made these fun reindeer and snowman ornaments from wood slices! They are so cute, you should go and check them out!! So I got super inspired and thought…well, I’ve got all these small woodslices that I could repurpose into nordic style wood slice Christmas ornaments! And that’s just what I did!

I painted them roughly with white chalky finish paint first.

With my deer stamp, the one I also used for my Advent Calendar, I quickly printed onto both sides of each wood slice.

Keri drilled a hole into hers, she used thicker wood slices, but mine broke when I tried, they are very thin slices, so I used these little hooks. I screwed them into each wood slice by carefully making a small hole with a nail and a hammer. Then I just screwed the hook into that hole with my fingers.

I also quickly painted them white because I didn’t like how the gold looked with this style…

Pin it if you like it!!

Thanks so much for the visit, are you making any ornaments this year??

Very cute; I have often thought of stamping onto the wood slices for Christmas gifts but thought it might not stamp properly unless I sanded it ultra smooth first. Good to know that is not the case. Pinned.

Katrin I love how you have taken a common ornament style and added your own personal stamp on it. Literally! The white look is very pretty and those adorable reindeer look precious on the wood. Of course, making the little hooks white adds to the overall pristine effect. Beautifully done. By the time you are finished decorating your home will be a white winter wonderland.
