It’s the end of January and we are having such warm days here in the South of Spain. On Monday, when I showed you my newest DIY magnets, I mentioned my kitchen spring decor. I am enjoying winter, but I could’t help adding a soft touch of spring to our kitchen breakfast nook. I am craving the minimal look more than ever and so this minimal & fresh kitchen nook is kind of perfect for our small spot.

Minimal & Fresh Kitchen Nook
This spot is used each and every day for breakfast and after school snacks, it is small and so I don’t want to overload it with decor. It needs to stay simple and practical. Right now it’s very colourful and I like it.
The big chalkboard is a nice way to decorate the space above the table. I usually have a fun quote written on it, but now it’s just a bit white washed with chalk.
Aren’t these place mats the cutest? They really make the whole space feel like spring with these beautiful pastels.
The cake stand is a DIY I made last year, so easy and so much fun to decorate. Here is a similar one I also made.
And the little jar with the candle inside and the faux pussy-willow around it adds just the right touch of cozyness to our mornings.
And I couldn’t help but adding another minimal wreath to the chalkboard. I showed you two real easy ones the other day, and I have so many wooden rings left that I just had to make another one for the kitchen.
That’s my kitchen right now these days. Are you starting with your spring decor already? I am not sure I will start everywhere just yet, but a small spot like this one is kinda nice to start with.
Wishing you a nice rest of the week!
