Lovely Edinburgh

Today I want to show you a few spots of Lovely Edinburgh that caught my eyes, when we were there last week. There are many more beautiful areas, buildings and sights to see for sure, these are just some I captured, when we walked around and I want to share them with you. I didn’t make a lot of photos all together, I really took my needed break seriously!

We were there with friends and had a fantastic time! I was stunned by the old buildings and it was almost as if you were brought back in time when walking through the streets…

Need a day care for your hubby? Lol…

What wonderful images you captured. My husband and I were just saying that Scotland is on our list! Scotch is his drink of choice, and he is a fly fisherman, so it would be a perfect trip for him! Thank you for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!

Scotland has always been top of our list of places to go visit (both hubby and I have Scottish blood) and looking at your beautiful photos makes us want to pack our bags right now and hop on a plane. I’m glad you took your much needed break seriously and so very glad you shared these photos. I love the stone clad buildings and old world charm and that pub sign. Brilliant!! Welcome back and happy 2017 to you and your family Katrin

Hi Katrin: Edinburgh is my number one place to visit. I have been wanting to go for years and figured winter would be less expensive and I wouldn’t mind the cold.

Your trip looks amazing and not crowded. Such beautiful photos. Sigh…..
    Happy New Years!!!! Leanna

Thanks so much Leanna! It wasn’t that cold at all actually and we were lucky that we got quite a bit of sun! It got busy towards new year’s eve. I’m sure you’d enjoy!

Katrin it seems a stunning city!! That building next to the cliff just wow. Love the colorful façades combined to the stone, it is really beautiful. I guess it would be a lovely place to make a “blogger meeting”, we could leave hubbies at the daycare and they would be really happy for sure lol. Glad to hear you enjoyed your break, you deserved it!

Katrin what beauty. Those buildings look so rock solid as if nothing can move them and they’ll be there for hundreds of years more. And they have their charm wile also living in the present. That structure that looks like a castle, do people live there also? How cool would that be. The sign had me cracking up. That would be the perfect spot to leave the hubby so you can go shopping. All in all a beautiful place to escape to in the middle of winter.

Mary you’d love it there too, it was really charming and so so nice! That building is the castle I think, lol, but i’m not sure! I had a hard time finding my way round there, lol, it was confusing! So many old buildings and little streets and stairs everywhere! Very lovely!

    Dear Katrin,
I truely envy you. We’ll visit Lewis in June (will be my fifth visit to Scotland which really is my favourite place on earth), never have been to Edinburgh though. My husband doesn’t like cities at all. Maybe I should tell him about the White Hart Inn: He could hide from city-bustle in there while I have a look around… Hmm…
I’m sure you had a lovely time! Cheerio!

Oh how nice Marjan! I’d love to visit the rest of Scotland, it must be amazing and I’d love to do it in the summer! Hahaha, that daycare is the place for your hubby then!

Edinburgh is lovely indeed! I love the tree in front of The Scotch Whisky store and the garland around the door of Boswell’s Court, so beautiful and I bet even more when you are in front of them. The buildings are magnificent. The husband day care is too cute, though I think you would need help getting him out of there after a day spent enjoying the delights! Thank-you so much for sharing these beautiful photos.

It really was worth a short trip and I’d love to see it in the summer and the surroundings Ellen. So so beautiful! We didn’t have that much time but still got to see quite a bit! Thank you for your always kind words and have a great day my friend!
