The other day I went with my family on a long weekend trip to London, England. It was amazing! I love city trips, the big city flair is just something I really enjoy. We are living in a small town, so getting out there and being surrounded by endless opportunities is just exciting! Lots of people, different nationalities, different ways of life, different mentalities, it’s great to take all that in. Even though if it’s only for a few days. It only took 2 and a half hours on the plane, which made it even better!
We saw as much as we were able to in those three days there: Museums, The Buckingham Palace of course ( Stella really had hoped to see the Queen, lol, and rocked that British Accent like no other!) Big Ben, Tower Bridge, went on the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Notting Hill, you name it! We took the girls to the huge Toy Store “Hamley’s”, which was like an Indoor Playground for them, you can imagine! Crazy! They both really enjoyed taking the “tube” (metro), and it is actually a lot of fun travelling with them now that they are 11 & 7 already!
My two favourite places were the Covent Garden Market & Portobello Road Market, it’s just beautiful there, all the pretty & unique stores and stands just amazed me! I could’ve spent money like there was no tomorrow, fortunately we couldn’t take much home on the plane, lol!
But I took tons of pictures from London’s Portobello Road Market ! And that’s what I’m showing you today. Nice stores, houses and stands that caught my eye!
London’s Portobello Road Market
On our way to the market we passed by beautiful houses! I could definitely imagine living in on of these, how about you?
I’d have no trouble finding a use and spot for all of these crates in my home, lol!
Knobs, all kinds of different, beautiful knobs!
Stella & Amelie were really loving this one, the little vintage style doll house with all the furniture was too cute!
And in the middle of all of it, a flower stand with fresh spring flowers like these beautiful tulips!
The name of this store had me already without even looking any further, but then all the white window deco really did too!
And that was it! It was so much fun and even though I couldn’t take home much, I enjoyed just being there and taking in all the variety of styles and deco! Sometimes there’s no need to spend a lot to have a great time and get inspired you know!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today, I hope you liked my London’s Portobello Road Market tour!
