Jar Lid Magnets + Free Succulent Printables for Int’l Bloggers Club

It’s the last week of June, whooot! It means that in 5 days my two month summer holidays start and it also means that it’s time for another Int’l Bloggers Club Challenge! In case it’s your first time here, you can find out more about our club here. And in case you want to see last month’s post, read it here, it was all about tins! Now this month is another fun challenge, we all had to find a common household item and repurpose it! Check out my jar lid magnets and also find free succulent printables below, in case you’d like to make these for yourself!

Jar Lid Magnets

I used common household jar lids, from olive jars and pickle jars. We eat a lot of olives here in Spain, they are so delicious and we have them with picos [little crackers] as an appetizer. Before I lived in Spain I actually never liked olives and am now a big fan of them! So, therefore, lot’s of jars and lids!

The lids all are the same size, but I think different sizes would look great as well.

I left them just like that, no paint, just cleaned them. Then I printed out cute succulents, I guess you can say I have a slight addiction to succulents, haha. I added some words and that’s all.

If you like these, feel free to print them out below for free! For personal use only please, Thank you!

I put a lid underneath the prints and just pressed around it, to get the exact size for cutting out.

Then glued them inside each lid, turned them around and added the magnets.

Note, on the photo above it shows only one magnet, but I actually ended up glueing more than one on each lid, because I only had small magnets and for holding notes etc. it just worked better. Or you can just buy bigger magnets.

    Hi Katrin,

What type of glue did you use to glue on the magnets to the lid? I’m interested in doing a similar craft at our day camps with children.

Katrin, I love this project! So charming and brilliant. And what a great way to use up those lids. We are an olive loving family as well, so can relate to the burgeoning stash of jars and lids…which I have a hard time tossing out…for this very reason.

Have a great day my friend.

    Hugs, Lynn

Thanks Lynn, jars are just to much fun to through out, although I have to get rid of some, as it’s getting out of hand, haha. And lids, I usually don’t pay too much attention to them, now that might change…. Thanks for the visit, hope you’re having a great summer so far!

What a fun way to use old jar lids, and super cute with your pretty printables! I’ve been trying to think of something to do with the old lids, and my first thought was coasters but they just weren’t quite large enough.

Katrin your idea is so brilliant!! I mean, who else could think of something creative for the jars’ lid apart of you? It’s quite easy to repurpose the jars but not the lids and you did it in such a beautiful way. I am going to use your printables, hope they help me organize my messy life. Thanks for sharing them!
