Inspiring Fall Flatlay for Int’l Bloggers Club

How can it be the end of September already?! I´m happy about that though, because that means it´s getting cooler and cooler around where I am . And by cool I mean like 23 degrees C cool. That is a nice break from 35 and more last month. Anyways, I feel like I always talk about the weather, but it´s what influences my mood so much. And this girl needs some cool temps by this time of year. So, I´m deep in Fall mood and loving it, embracing our Southern Spain´s Fall and all it´s beautiful changes. Even though they are different from my kinda Fall, but I´m really enjoying it this year! So, this months Int´l Bloggers Club challenge is right up my alley and so much fun! Come & check out my inspiring Fall flatlay for Int´l Bloggers Club this month!

Inspiring Fall Flatlay

On Pinterest you can find all kinds of beautiful flatlays! I could sit on my sofa, coffee in my hand and just browse through them all day long! So, this month, we thought, well why not do a flatlay for our challenge. Each one of us chooses items they like, maybe from the country they live in and talk a bit about them. We lay them out and just take pretty photos! Well, here´s mine:

I chose Fall, well, because it´s my favourite time of year and makes me feel so good! The center of my flatlay is my watercolour pumpkin printable that I painted last Fall. I still love it and it will go on the wall after this photo shoot.

Fall means rustic and cozy to me, so I added the wooden mushrooms I found in a store here, my DIY wood slice sign I made last winter, but I changed up a bit now and use it as a center piece.

The fringes that were a leftover from my Ikea rug basket are so cozy and so are the fairy lights I added, because I just love fairy lights, especially this time of year.

And can we talk about that bright orange flower? It grows right in front of my house on our street, it´s a bush and it has the prettiest flowers blooming right now and I just had to bring some inside. My neighbour said that it´s called “trompeta de fuego” which means “fire trumpet”. The perfect name isn´t it!

And last but not least, little beach pebbles, because I live right next to the beach and Fall is the Best time to go for walks on the beach and find treasures.

I love your wooden mushrooms, Katrin! You know I’m so jealous that you live next to the beach. My favorite thing to do is look for heart-shaped rocks. Such a pretty Fall centerpiece and love how you photographed it in a flat lay format (something I have yet figured out how to do).

Oh and I´m missing the canadian weather so often Marie, believe it or not. Ok, not the -36 degrees but this season and before Christmas is my favourite in Canada! So special! The mushrooms were dirt cheap here….

This has been one of a kind challenge, and what a challenge!! Sometimes it’s not easy to go out of our comfort zone and try new things, but those are the ones that make us grow. Your pictures are all so beautiful, I remember the watercolor pumpkin, perfect for fall even if it’s 23 degrees.

I know, hey, it was so much fun Pili and your flat lay is so pretty! It´s hot here again, but I´m ok with it, haha. It´ll be cool soon enough!

Aww Katrin, first of all I want to thank you for coming up with this great idea. It was something that ended up affecting me much more than I had expected. In a good way of course. Your flatlay is beautiful, the photography is gorgeous and the items are perfect Katrin. I love those wooden mushrooms, I’ve never seen anything like them before. And the fairy lights… ahhhh. But the red flowers are the crowning touch. I guess after living away from North America for so many years we need to let go of our ideas of what fall should be like and just embrace what we have around us. And that is exactly what your flatlay does.

I was quite intrigued by this post when I first read the note in my e-mail… what is a flatlay?! I really laughed when I opened the post and discovered that it is just that, a flat lay of items being photographed. Your choices are splendid! I still love the pumpkin printable and those wooden mushrooms are too cute. Fairy lights are always a perfect addition, have to love them. I’ve never heard of the Fire Trumpet, what a gorgeous color. A gold star for your IBC Challenge entry! Thank-you!

I´m happy you enjoyed this post Ellen, this was a fun challenge for us! The fire trumpet, I¨m sure there is a better translation for it, lol, I just translated it from Spanish to English and well… it is a gorgeous plant and so pretty for this season! Thank you for your visit, have a lovely week!

This was all your fault Katrin 😀 I don’t think I’ve ever stressed as much for one of our IBC challenges. I had this silly idea that it would be an easy one. NOT!!!! But I had sooooo much fun and learnt a huge amount. Thanks for the brilliant suggestion. You’re a complete natural at taking flat lays. Your pics are gorgeous beyond
