My Hygge Habits In Winter

my Hygge habits in winter kreativk.net

I could probably post 3 or 4 fotos of me on the sofa under blankets and in thick sweaters holding a cup of coffee and my laptop, some fairy lights on and a candle. That would pretty much explain itself. Well, I wish I could every day, but then, there is so much more about Hygge in Winter I find. Plus, the Holidays are over, it was time to go back to work, so I simply cannot lounge on the sofa every day… but there are so many other ways that I “hygge” and today I wanted to share my Hygge habits in Winter. The other day I posted my cozy hiding spot, where you can find me a lot these days…

My Hygge Habits In Winter

Below you’ll find my hygge habits this winter. Simple and nothing fancy or extravagant. Just enjoying the short days, the days where, even in the South of Spain, it seems ok to stay indoors. I’m a huge introvert and summer, good weather and the super social life here can be really overwhelming for me at times. Plus, being a kindergarten teacher, I am talking all day long and being super social which I do enjoy too though. But then, when I come home, it is time to turn that part of me off. I need my time-out and that’s why I love rainy days so much. No one comes over and no one wants to do anything, haha. Perfect! Although I do love hanging out with our friends, not every weekend, because I do need time in between to recharge and disconnect. So Hygge and Winter and me are besties.

Katrin, I’m glad you take time to have some alone time and recharge and also spend time with your family. It sounds like you’ve got a great plan for how you spend your time. It sounds cozy and peaceful.

Ahhhhh Katrin you’ve actually made me miss Winter and that takes A LOT!!! Just like you I’m an introvert but Winter, nope, nope it just makes me sad. Give me any season except that one. I need to take a page out of your book and learn to appreciate it for it’s quietness and rechargabilty (is that even a word 😀 )

I totally get that, Katrin. I’m an introvert too and get exhausted easily by too many social events. Hygge is my middle name, lol. I like sunshine but I do like rainy days as well. Your hygge habits sound great and your printable is beautiful.
Wishing you a cozy Sunday, my friend! Happy Hygge!

Katrin I could definitely use some of that hygge! It is such a busy time for me right now trying to get things organized and I also have a lot of other headaches. Time to relax with a nice bottle of wine. 😉 Oh and I’ll put your printable in front of me so it’ll remind me to relax!

Such a comfy post! I share your fondness for rainy days and solitude; it is when I am most content. Bright, sunny days sometimes agitates me….. I find it too “energetic”.

I’m happy you liked it Linda. I am also happy to hear I’m not the only one who likes the darker rainy days 😉 Thank you for stopping by!
