Happy Monday! It’s a long weekend for and it is also the last Monday of the month, so that means it’s Int’l Bloggers Club time! I’m popping in real quick to show you this easy Ikea lantern makeover, because this month we talk about all things “garden”. Last month was so much fun, we all made something using fabric, find more about that here.
I have had this Ikea lantern for quite some time now and I love it in white. But this season I am really into all things green and want to add some pops of green to my outdoor decor especially. The other day I showed you my green potting station already. I also couldn’t help but painting my bistro chairs green, see my front porch all ready for Spring here. I think it is such a fun green and makes for a really nice summer vibe.

What I have used:
Montana Spray Paint MTN 94 Green Breeze [this one looks similar]
Start by carefully taking all the glass sides out of the lantern. Put aside.
My lantern will be outside and just to be safe, I used a primer. You could probably do it without, but that’s up to you.
Start with the primer following the safety and application instructions on the can. Let dry.
Now start spray painting also following the safety and application instructions on the can. Let dry and add more coats if desired. I used the entire can for this lantern, as I wanted to have a deep green color. Let dry and sit outside or in a ventilated area overnight.
Put the glass back in it’s place and decorate your lantern!
I’ve put a faux flower inside, but the possibilities are endless, candles, succulents, fairy lights, you name it! I will probably change it around frequently.
I am really loving this green and it just screams summer I think. Anyways, this is a fast way to change up some outdoor decor and I hope you go and check out the other ladies garden idea posts below!
Thank you so much for stopping by today,
