Happy Monday friends, I hope you’ve had a nice weekend! Today I’m here to show you this easy yarn & tassels wall hanging I made this weekend!
I am in the midst of getting my patio and outdoor space ready for the season, unfortunately it has been raining all weekend long! Bummer! The other day we had like almost 30 degrees already and now this! It feels like fall, y’all! And since both, my front and back patio aren’t water proof, I had to bring all the cushions and deco back inside. Good thing is, that I think this is going to be the last we see of rain around here until about November or so! I can live with that! By then I’ll be ready for rain again! Any way, I made this cute wall hanging for my patio wall, after getting some inspiration from Sara over at Twelve on Main. She made a yarn wall hanging as well and I really love hers!
I had the piece of driftwood in my shed, the yarn is a leftover from my bedroom pom pom’s and the crocheted flowers were bought a while ago, this was actually a garland, but I cut them into strings for this. Well, three of them.
Easy Yarn & Tassels Wall Hanging
First thing, I made tassels with the white yarn.
So for each tassel, I cut a piece of yarn and looped it like on the pic above! Then, on the pic below you can see that I grabbed another string of yarn and tied it around the top of the looped yarn.
Next, I cut open the loops on the bottom and the tassels were done! I hadn’t made tassels before, not sure if you know a different way, but this was easy peasy! My daughter looked at them and said: Momy, draw two black eyes on the top and you have ghosts! 🙂 I guess they turned out looking like ghosts a bit, hey? Not a problem!
I tied the tassels around the stick and then added some grey yarn strings and the crocheted flowers.
Right now, I hung it on my living room wall, it will be going on the wall outside though, as soon as the rain stops for the season!
I’m hoping to be able to show you my patios soon! But then again, the season is only just starting, no rush! Thanks for stopping by!
