Easy Oversized Frame Wall Decor

This easy oversized frame wall decor comes in so handy when you have a big frame but nothing to put in it. And when you don´t want to spend a whole lot of time or money! I´ve had a poster of Gustav Klimt´s The Kiss in this frame for a long time. Then, for our Int´l Bloggers Club I´ve changed it up by gluing huge faux leaves into it. Now, for the new season I wanted something easy and simple. Very simple.

Easy Oversized Frame Wall Decor

All you need for this easy and quick DIY is a large frame and a sharpie!

Take out the back of the frame and secure the glass to the frame using duct tape or similar strong tape. Be careful with the sharp ends of the glass!

Find your favourite quote or words and design them on picmonkey in your favourite fonts. I used this font. You can download it for free onto your computer. Print out your writing in big, tape it behind the glass and simply trace the letters with the sharpie onto your glass.

I did not end up tracing, I copied them off of the computer, just in bigger and they did not turn out exactly the same but I ended up liking it just like this.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you like my easy little DIY. The fun thing is that you can easily change out the quotes. Just wipe it off, even though it´s a permanent marker, but using water, detergent and a microfiber cloth it comes off no problem.

Have a great day 🙂

This looks great Katrin, and I love the quote! I have a small window that I picked up a while back that I wanted to do something like this with, but for the master bath. I want something simple, and this does look simple.

Thank you Linda, I´d love to have an old window to use for this kinda project!
