DIY Coffee Corner

Today I’d love to show you my little happy corner of my home! My DIY Coffee Corner !

You know how much I love coffee! Like thiiiiiiis much ! Like I can’t go a day or even half without! I’m totally addicted but that’s ok!

I’ve told you before how tiny my kitchen is. Yes. But I’d love to have one of those rustic coffee stations with all the Klim Bim (that’s a german expression for “stuff”) you need for coffee and of course, because I just think it’s awesome to have in the kitchen. But my kitchen is just not made for it. So I made a little coffee corner on my kitchen counter instead! I look right at it first thing, when I come in the kitchen early in the morning. Location Location Location!

I did have these ehem, dollar store…glass containers already and put some dollar store chalkboard stickers on them, then labelled them. Next, I used a little strawberry crate to hold it all and give it a little bit of a frame. It’s strawberry season here in Spain now, and I pick up a whole lot the other day, not only because I wanted the crate but also because we love strawberries!

I painted the crate with white paint and then stencilled the word “Coffee” on it and as you can see I doodled two little corners as well.

And, the other day I showed you my DIY Valentine’s inspired Baking Tin Signs, well, the coffee sign is right above the containers!

So yeah. It’s small but I love it and enjoy my coffee even more now that I have everything right there. I didn’t want to post the ugly coffee maker, but it’s right next to all the Klim Bim.

I love your little coffee corner! When I first looked at the pic I thought, “I couldn’t have this because my kitchen is so small!” But then I read that you have a tiny kitchen also so now I NEED to do this. Thanks for the inspiration!

Yes, for sure Jess, my kitchen is super small, and I’ve always liked those nice coffee stations people set up, this doesn’t even come close to one, but for me it’s really cool and all I need and can do right now 😉 Thanks for stopping by!!!

Hi Kelsie, I think they are supposed to be Lillies? But I’m really not sure, they are from the Dollar Store, they came in a big bushy bouquet… Thanks for stopping by!!! Have a great first day of Feb!!!

This is adorable. I’m not a coffee drinker myself but I could create a tea corner. Mine’s all tucked away as our kitchen isn’t huge either. But when we move I could do this in our new house. What a great idea.

Katrin, i love your coffee corner!!! So clever to use the strawberry crate to store the Klim Bim! I like the labels and jars!! Your coffee corner looks so inviting. It says, “Hey, help yourself to a cup of coffee and conversation.” I’m wanting to set up a coffee station so I’m definitely taking notes from your coffee corner!! 😉

    • Katrin
      27/01/2016 at 19:01

Thanks Keri! I love coffee stations, unfortunately it’s not possible in my kitchen right now, but I’m quite happy with this little corner…

Love your coffee corner! I’ve never been a coffee drinker, but I’ve always loved the aroma and am just starting to enjoy the flavor as well…may need a coffee corner in my home. Or a tea corner!
And how brilliant are you to use that strawberry crate?! It’s the perfect size for what you need. And you really do clean up at the dollar stores! You need to be getting paid for all the advertising you give them. The real question is…do you get your metallic markers at the dollar store too?
    Hugs for a great day…
Counting down to Valentine’s Day, which is also coincidentally, the debut of Walking Dead. Rather ironic, isn’t it?

      27/01/2016 at 14:56

Hahaha…a tea corner sounds good too! I know, since I’m in Europe, Dollarama is going down big time I bet! I had one very close to where we lived and the ladies there were like “oh it’s you…again.” But hey, they do have some great stuff! They should totally pay me! The metallic markers, I’m not sure, I bought them here and also online with amazon, cause they ran out here…I thought I was gonna get a heart attack! Thanks Lynn, have a great day! I’m looking forward to Valentine’s day and it isn’t cause I’m romantic!!!;)

I love how you were able to transform that crate with just a little paint. It looks so high end now. No one would have known it was for strawberries and looking so plain before. The stencils on it are also very pretty and very “Katrin”. What a great coffee station. And the tin on the top is perfect!

Thanks Mary! The crate was perfect for my little corner! So happy! 🙂
