DIY Card Holder

It is Monday again, wow the weekend just goes by way too fast! But my Monday blues usually don’t last too long, it’s more the getting out of bed and going after relaxing on the weekend. We had a lovely weekend just hanging out watching movies, cause it was raining pretty much all the time. Well I made a couple of DIY’s which I will share here this week. Starting today with this cute and easy DIY card holder I made with what I found in my craft closet.

What I used:

white painted wooden base or plaque

wooden dowel

wooden spool

wooden spice grinder tool

small metal paper clips

You can really use anything you can find at home. I had these three items handy and I think they make for a fun card holder. Three wooden dowels would look great too instead of the spool or grinder. Just make sure they are three different sizes. Ideally one large, medium and smaller dowel.

Also, my wooden base was painted white before. It is actually one of the large wooden plates I like to use as coasters for decor. I have also made this easy cake stand with them.

All you need to do, is fire up your hot glue gun and then glue on the dowel, spool and grinder to the base. After that, glue the metal paper clips to each stand and you’re done! Oh, and find your favourite card, photo or note and clip it on!

This is such a neat and simple idea. I’ve just recently started watercoloring, and I make a lot of small prints that I’d like to display, but switch out every week or so.

Wow Katrin this is really pretty and so unexpected. You can change it up depending on your mood. Your cards are really pretty and add a note of spring and blooms! We are getting about 3 snowstorms a week around here, and it’s not that they stick but they do disrupt life a bit. Stay warm and dry!

Aaawww I’m sorry it’s raining all the time Katrin, at least you get to spend it watching good movies and making awesome things. The card holder is a really lovely idea and it’s such a fun way to add special notes and what nots for each season or even special days. Pinning
