Christmas Tree Craft for kids

Christmas Tree Craft

Are you looking for a fun craft to do with your kids during the holidays?  This Christmas Tree Craft for kids is so easy and so much fun! It’s adorable too, don’t you think?

The other day, my girls and I had a real quality ~ time ~ day together. Those two ladies of mine love to craft and enjoy when I have all day for them to do that! We had so much fun and it’s the BEST thing to hang out with them and chat while we get creative. What else could I ask for, no..really, I love when we get the chance to have that special time together.

We came up with this cute tree made out of pipe cleaner and washi tape. I always love to make stuff with what I already have at home and the stores were closed anyway because it was a holiday here, so we had to use what we found in our craft cabinet!

Which was:

~ Pipe cleaners

~ Holiday themed washi tape

~ Foam hearts

1.First, we grabbed a pipe cleaner and twisted a loop into the top. It could be a tree ornament or anything you like, but like this you have a way of hanging it up.

2. Next, we started cutting strips of washi tape, long to short in length, to get the shape of a christmas tree.

3. Our washi tape acted up a bit, so we needed to tape about two on each side on top of each other to make it firmer.

4. We found red little foam hearts from previous valentines crafts and used them for the top of the tree.

And that’s about it!

Mission of the day:

~ having fun ( checked )

~ spending quality time together ( checked )

~ chatting together ( checked )

~ being creative and using imagination ( checked )

We had a wonderful day!!!

I pinned them on my daughters little hide away curtain in her room and I really like how they look against the fabric!

What are your quality time favourites with your kids???

Good Morning Katrin! I do remember spending time with my daughter and son doing similar crafts. So much fun. But now my daughter and I spend our time together baking. She’s also loves ‘decluttering’ so she’ll be joining me in that venture as long as she’s home from school.
I love all those washi tape crafts..so simple, but so darn cute and colorful.

I’m so happy that we ‘me’t and formed our ‘long distance’ friendship this year.. Something that I look back on and smile about. And something I’m very appreciative of.

I wish you and your family and wonderful Christmas vacation and be sure to check out the Viktualienmarkt!

    Merry Christmas, Lynn

Katrin what pretty little trees! Perfect for your daughter’s room. And she’ll be so proud knowing she made them. This is the best way to spend time with the family for the holidays! And this is my kind of craft, frugal, and easy!! I wish you a great vacation and have a great time my friend.. Merry Christmas!!
