30 Days Of Hygge

Today is a little bit of a different post. Inspiration for 30 days of Hygge! No idea what Hygge is?? I wrote about it in the summer and you can find out more here. Hygge high season is Fall and Winter, as most people due to colder temps stay indoors and bundle up, unless you live where there´s summer all year round, but then my summer Hygge post is definitely for you too!

Hygge is a Scandinavian concept of being cozy, enjoying the little pleasures and living at home. Today I probably mastered half of this challenge already, as I´m having a super lazy day and this post came to mind! Anyways, with the cooler weather and the darker months coming our way it´s great to have an inspiration or idea for each day to hygge, don´t you think?

I love this Katrin! It started snowing today, nothing major but we’re not ready. After running a few errands I came home and immediately wanted to put on my jammies. I didn’t because it was early. Still, it was a good idea. This is a great post and one I won’t forget. #18 is one of my favorites. Thank you for sharing with us at Celebrate Your Story, and have a great weekend.

Oh I love #18 and it is hard sometimes. Jammies all day sounds like a great plan and I dream about a little bit of snow…. Thanks so much Sandra 🙂

I think fall calls for hygge and it can be actually a way of life, I could see me there. Memories are better when they are not related to something material but to something that will last in your mind forever. Thanks for that list, I should read it often

I love this, Katrin! You have no idea how good 30 days of Hygge sounds right about now! Winter has settled in here and I’m slowly replacing the Fall decor with winter vignettes and preparing to hibernate. Each and every one of your suggestions sounds heavenly! (Thank you so much for including a link to my fabric pumpkins, that was so nice of you!) A trip to the Canadian Rocky Mountains has been calling my name. Renting a little rustic cabin with a wood burning fireplace sounds perfect. Are these beautiful photos from the Canadian Rockies? There is one in particular that looks very familiar.

Oh I’m so jealous Marie. I wish it was snowing just a little here… just miss it so much this time of year. Not in February anymore though. Those photos are from the Canadian Rockies I believe so!

Aww Katrin I got all calm and relaxed just reading this post. So many wonderful ideas that I had not even considered. Although the decluttering is not one of them . 😉 I can definitely see adding more lights in a room for ambiance.

Oh good! That’s the idea of Hygge, haha. Now I know, decluttering isn’t for everyone…especially if you’ve just finished a whole apartment like you 😉 You can just fill in a nap for that day maybe 😉
