Simple washi tape wall frames

I’m stopping by the blog today to show you a real quick and simple solution for show casing your pictures and photos. Especially if you live in a rental like we do! Here are my simple washi tape wall frames !

Simple washi tape wall frames kreativk.net

I’ve had these up for a long time now and I really love these photos of my girls from when they were smaller, some years ago… They remind me of all the fun times we had back then…although I’m really not complaining, we have tons of fun now, different fun, you know what I mean? It’s great that they are more independent now and there are lots of things we can all do together now, that we couldn’t do when they were smaller. But I do miss those times as well and just like looking at them when they were that age. Plus, these shots really turned out so nice and I also like that they weren’t staged and just happened in the moment. I printed them in black and white and wanted to have them in our living/family room to always be able to look at them. They just make me smile!

You know how we are living in a rental right now, so I always try to not hammer around a lot and these simple washi tape wall frames are just perfect! They can be removed easily without leaving any trace behind! All you need is washi tape and your favourite prints or photos. Since I made this like a year ago, the washi tape I used is all gone, but I will just show you the photos and you’ll get an idea of how I did it, it’s super easy! I used very thin washi tape for this, I think that looks better than the wider one.

Happy April Fool’s Day everyone! Have a great weekend!

What a clever way to display photos without making permanent holes in the walls! I may be doing this in my daughter’s room to display her artwork. Thank you for linking up and sharing with us over at the Welcome Home Wednesdays Link Party!!

Katrin, who would have thought that something so little, like washi tape, could make something so eye catching. I love the patterns of the tape that you used, and the way that you creatively matched them together. It looks so adorable up on the wall. It could have something to do with you have two incredibly gorgeous daughters. I love the way you did it, I think I might have to run out and get some washi tape.

Ooooh these are SO fun! Wondering, do you have any trouble with the washi tape pealing off? Do you use alcohol on the wall to “prep” it, like you’re supposed to do with those 3M hooks?

Thanks for sharing this inspiration!! And super cute munchkins too… 😉

Katrin, your girls are so beautiful, and they look just like little angels!!! Great photos!! I love it when snapshots turn out better than a staged picture!! That’s a great idea to use washi tape to frame pictures! It’s always difficult to put nails in walls when you’re renting, even if it’s allowed, so your solution is fantastic!

Aww Thank you Keri, I appreciate it! I love looking at them when they were little and yes, I really love snapshots that turn out fun! You know I don’t like power tools, even though a hammer isn’t really one, but I just use it as little as possible..lol! Have a great Monday!

Aww Katrin, your girls are just adorable! They look so happy and carefree in the photographs. And this is the perfect way to display them. Nice and casual look. You know what, this would also be a good idea for people who live in earthquake-prone areas because you don’t want frames falling off the walls.

First of all, your girls are BEAUTIFUL! Oh my…just lovely. And the photos…so great at catching moments and expressions. I know you treasure those pictures.
And…you are no doubt the “Queen of Washi Tape”, that is when you are not the “Queen of Gold and Silver Pens”! How you use those elements never ceases to amaze me. What a fantastic solution for avoiding nail holes, but even if you didn’t need to avoid nail holes it’s such a ‘kreativ’ way to showcase your photos.
    Lovely lovely.

Have a wonderful weekend my friend,

    Hugs, LYnn
