Simple Summer Patio

I’m finally revealing our simple summer patio! That took me a while this year, but our patio roof had been blown away with a very strong storm a few weeks back and since we are renting, we were waiting for it to be fixed. When temps finally went down a bit, I thought it was about time to set up the back patio. In a simple way.

And, our house is for sale, so we’ve put in an offer that got accepted! Whoot! Meaning, very soon we can fix that patio and backyard and lot´s of other things to our liking. How exciting!

But first we’ll be off to travel a bit for the month of July. Anyways, with this little update, I’m leaving you to check out my patio this summer, simple and unspectacular, but pretty enjoyable anyways!

Just like last year, I hung curtains everywhere to protect from the sun. We´ll install proper sun screens and shades here soon, as the sun hits this part of the garden all afternoon long.

I see so much red, lol! All the time! And I don´t like it, so we will paint the wall for sure! My friend Maria, who always thinks of me when she finds furniture curb side, brought me the little table on wheels. It looks like an Ikea coffee table or TV table. Anyways, I just painted it with white chalky finish paint and there it is for now.

My girls love bringing out their playmobil toys to set up little houses on it and play. The bottom shelf works as the basement 😉 So I think that the decor on it won´t last very long, lol!

Going around the house to the front patio where we have a sun shade and our outdoor dining table.

Katrin, your patio looks so inviting and lovely! Congratulations on the offer being accepted; that’s awesome!!! I bet you all are so excited! Well you have the patio set up so beautifully and I’m so glad that you’ll be able to paint it whatever color you like. That’s very nice that your friend found the table for you and so sweet that your girls like to play their toys on it. The cacti centerpieces are great! Everything looks wonderful!!

It looks like such a really cozy spot Katrin, a place where you can spend many happy hours just enjoying a cup of coffee and day dreaming about stuff. I’m so glad the offer was accepted, now it’s almost all yours to wave your magic wand over. That’s really great

Your patio looks great, I love the cool calming colors and I agree with you. I’d definitely paint out that bright red. It’s a gorgeous color but kind of jarring to the eye in this instance.

    Have a great day!

Katrin this is so inviting and relaxing! So many beautiful elements to make us want to stay all day and never leave. Each corner has something special to look at. I especially like that round side table with the blue design on top. I suspect you had something to do with that pretty design. And the ikea table was quite the find too. Beautiful and relaxing space Karin, just as it should be in the summer

Thank you so much Mary! The round little table is a stool and a tray put together with velcro! I might blog about it some time… it´s so easy.
