Rustic Girly DIY Fox Wall Art

rustic-girly-diy-fox-wall-art-kreativk-net-3

Introducing Ms. Foxette, a friend of Mr. Owl‘s I made the other day! After my daughter was so happy about him, I thought he needed a girlfriend. [although Amelie is assuring he’s just a friend] Well, she was as happy about this rustic girly DIY fox wall art let me tell ya! And that made me happy too…

This time, I used a different kind of tray I had at hand and roughly brushed some white chalky finish paint on it.

Below you can see all the other parts I used for this little foxette.

Since my “frame” is not even, and the middle part is actually bend in a bit,  I cut out a thicker cardboard for the head first and then glued the bookpage head on top of that, to make it more solid.

The rosette is really easy to twist, but my friend Sherry from Savvy Apron has a great tutorial on how to make rosettes, although she used doilies to make them, but I made my rosette with tissue paper the same way!

You can find another wonderful rosette tutorial from Maya at Little Treasures here.

And now check out this cutie!

Well, what do you think of Miss Foxette?? She looks like quite the little diva, doesn’t she? I had so much fun with her and can’t wait to start a new friend of the “series”, lol! I know Amelie won’t mind!

Ms. Foxette is a bit of a Diva and I’m sure that Mr. Owl appreciates her company. I love the way that you’ve mixed the patterns of the papers, it makes for a really cute fox face. And the rosette is perfect. It’s so intricate and tiny, good thing you had all your fingers still after playing with the knife and the tins! LOL

I’m sure Amelie loves her, any little girl would!

That is the cutest little fox I’ve ever seen. You could easily use the same design and make it look totally different with varying types of paper. I love it! Thanks for linking it to Waste Not Wednesday Link Party!

Katrin, she’s gorgeous!! Love little foxette! The book pages coupled with the floral print give it such beauty and interest. Your daughter must be loving how awesomely creative her mom is. These pieces of wall art are sure to be cherished and maybe even hung up in her children’s room way down the road. 😉
