Painted Wooden Plates for Fall

painted-wooden-plates-for-fall-kreativk-net

On Monday I showed you my painted & stenciled wooden coasters that I made from simple wooden plates I found at the spanish dollar store. Today I’m showing you these fun painted wooden plates for fall!

These are the same kind of plates I used on Monday to make coastersbut these two are a size bigger and I didn’t want to use them as coasters, which I totally could though, but for now I have them in one of my crates on the wall above my sofa. They look so cute and were super easy to make. All I used, was a white permanent marker and doodled easy leaves on them, or feathers maybe, not sure if they look more like feathers than leaves, but I don’t mind either way. I waxed them after and that was all!

Hope you like these fun little plates, they were super easy to make! These days at work, we’re getting ready for some fall crafts with my kids in class and it’s lots of fun, although it does seem like I’m there like all the time and time at home here is so short. So these little and easy crafts and projects are really nice to make for me, because I still get that deco & craft fix but it’s not taking me a very long time at all! Wishing you a lovely day!

Hi Katrin, this is a great idea. Personalizing the wooden plates in such a way makes them so unique, I like you kept them bright with the fall touch with the leaves. These look beautiful. I enjoyed reading your post. You too have a lovely day!

These are just awesome! What a great idea, they make great decor or you could make some for gifts. If you could get them large enough they could be used as chargers under a plate or saucer. Thanks for linking them up to Waste Not Wednesday!

Katrin, you are so fun and creative! I love these plates. The doodles are simple, but put together so well. I especially love the unexpectedness of the polka dots! How fun! The white looks so good against the light wood grain of the plates!

And they really look great in the crate shelving! Unexpected, stylish and so effortlessly cool!

Only in Spain would your dollar store have great wooden bowls! You can do so many thing with them, as you are showing us with your last couple posts. By waxing them, will you be able to use them for food? If not, they make a great wall or table decoration.

Have a great weeeknd my friend,

    Hugs, Lynn

Thanks Lynn, hope you’re having a great one as well! I don’t know if you can actually use them for food with the wax… I probably wouldn’t, but you know, if a coffee drop spills, then it’s easier to clean up for sure I think.

These are super cute Katrin. They look like feathers to me. And they look great in the crates hanging on your wall. Are these bigger plates for bigger octopuses?
