Create ~ Station

Today I’d love to show you my Create ~ Station ! The place where most of my crafts and creations happen!

Create - Station

And let me tell ya, it looks presentable now, which wasn’t always the case! During the holidays, this spot was the dumping spot of the house. Everything, from school work to left over Christmas decorations was just dumped on my desk! That’s right, MY desk. Everyone in this house has one, but for some reason they just all love to dump things on mine! I dumped as well, I must admit. But it is my desk after all. So this had to stop! I couldn’t take the crazyness on top of my supposed~to~be~ creative spot. I actually made a photo of it, but then, being in the de~cluttering~desk~ mood, I also de cluttered my phone and accidentally erased the before pic. Believe me, it wasn’t pretty!

So, this is why I’m only showing you the pretty after pics. The desk itself is a pretty boring, normal desk, I once purchased for $15 online. I had bought a little metal storage cart for underneath, from Ikea, a while back. Great for organizing. The rest of my craft supplies, well, I always just had some on top of it in boxes and some in my cabinet in the living room. Yes, remember, this house has next to no storage and I’m sharing this office with my husband who works from home. So my little desk is all that fits in there.

But then, the other day, when I started re organizing and de cluttering it, I had the idea of putting my small pallet on top! This pallet is smaller than the usual ones, so it was possible to just put it on top against the wall. Not very heavy. I had painted it white some time before and it was outside with flowers in it, which also looked nice, but I have like 4 more pallets sitting outside to be painted and decorated with flowers, so this small one was perfect for my desk. And this is how it turned out:

The before organizing but after de~cluttering

After organizing

I found these metal hooks to hang on the pallet and used them to hook up my storage boxes

And I used my stencils and marker to write “CREATE” in the middle of the pallet

This is the little storage cart for my paper scraps and stuff like that…

And this guy here, well, he’s special to me. Long time ago, my mom gave him to me as a present. He’s hand made, real wood and super heavy. I always loved this clown, he used to sit in a window of a shop we frequently passed by, and we always stopped and admired this work of art! I love everything about him, his pose, his definition, just wow. So one day, he was sitting on my desk when I came home from school. And that’s where he still is! He’s lost a little bit of his foot during our moves, but I don’t care!

So, this is my newly organized Create ~ Station . I like that I have everything I mostly use really handy and it looks kinda different and unique even though it’s small, but it’s really all I need to be Kreativ K !

Have a creative day friends!!! Thanks for reading and visiting…
